Ostrich

  Ostriches are native to Africa, and used to live in the Middle East until they became extinct in the mid 20^th century due to excessive hunting. In the wild, ostriches live in savannas.The ostrich eats basicly everithing: plants, roots, fruit, insects, lizards and small rodents. In the stomach of an ostrich were found small rocks, sand and clams, which helps to absorb the food.Lions and leopards are both predators of the ostrich. Hyenas and wild hunting dogs will also eat ostriches. Ostriches are large, flightless birds that have very distinctive long necks. Ostriches are the largest living species of bird in the world and they also lay the largest eggs of any bird.  Both males and females have white feathers on their wings and tails. Male ostriches can be 1.8 - 2.7 meters / 6 - 9 feet tall, while female ostriches are 1.7 - 2 meters / 5.5 - 6.5 ft tall. They can run with a speed of about 65 kilometers per hour/40 miles per hour.Its comes many different colors sometimes black or gray.

 Fact 1: Ostrich meat is said to taste like lean beef, although I’ve never tried it myself!
